In the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, J&K registered its second win against mighty Himachal Pradesh by 18 runs. Earlier, J&K won the toss and opted to bat first on a tough wicket of ABVC Stadium Amtar and managed to score 123 runs in their estimated 20 overs. Hitting sensation Manzoor Pandav who scored 34 of 27 balls was the highest run getter for J&K. For Himachal AN Chauhan took three wickets by giving 22 runs in his quota of four overs.
In reply, Himachal failed to achieve the target and fell short of 18 runs. They managed to score 105 runs for the loss of nine wickets with PK Dogra scoring 25 and PS Chopra 21 runs. It was again young Umer Nazir who bowled exceptionally well and was pick of the bowlers for J&K with figures of 4-0-12-2. He was well supported by all bowlers. Manik, Manzoor, Dogra all shared two wickets each.
Now J&K is at fourth position in Points Table and have good chance of qualifying for knockouts. On Tuesday, J&K defeated Punjab by 26 runs.
