North Kashmir’s district Bandipore which is mostly famous for
Education, Politeness and Water is now also generating some great
sports personalities. Apart from education, Bandipore has got a great
talent in sports too. Recently a seven year old girl from Bandipore
has made whole Kashmir proud as she has been selected for Sub Junior
Wushu championship which will be held in Uttrakhand from 27th March.
Its proud movement for all of us as she became the first girl from
Kashmir to be selected for national Wushu championship.
It is merely a miracle that a girl of class 3rd achieving such big
goal. But it proves that true dedication and hard work can never go in
vain. This miracle is largely because of her coach ‘Mr. Faisal Dar’ a
well known sports personality of Bandipore who is also the owner of
Ali’s Academy of Sports where Tajamul trained. He helped her too much
and worked too hard for her, it’s only because of him Tajamul was able
to make it there.
Tajamul started Martial arts training a year before and since then she
achieved many rewards such as; in 2014 she was named as the best
fighter in 10th J&K state Wushu championship. After that in 2015 she
won the gold medal in National kickboxing at New Delhi. Mr. Faisal
congratulated her and wished her all luck for the championship; also
said, ‘‘She is God gifted, talented girl, an awesome fighter and a
bold and strong girl.’’ She really is an inspiration for all the girls
who love sports. Our valley is way too backwards in the Sports
activities but starts like Tajamul can be a motivation for budding
sports starts.
We should also appreciate her father ‘ Mr. Gh Muhammad Lone’ who stood
with her and supported her to make it big in sports unlike most of the
parents in J&K who don’t support their children to go big with sports
but Tajamul is an example that how talented Kashmiri’s are if provided
a good platform. Our best wishes are with her and we hope she will
make us proud.
